Ministries
There is no shortage of things to do around The Rio. We are
building a church family from the ground up. Here are a few
of
the things we are working on:
Small Groups
Small groups are the heart and soul of The Rio.
Every week
groups of around ten people meet in homes around El Paso to study the
Bible and seek God together.

for more information about our groups.
Prayer
Nothing is impossible with God, and nothing is impossible for
God's
people who pray. We highly value prayer and take time every
Thursday evening to come together and pray for each other and for our
city. We currently meet at the
Nelson's
house at 7pm.
Music
Our ultimate purpose is to worship God and bring him glory.
We
are excited about music at The Rio and dream of a day when our stage
will be filled with talented musicians leading a bicultural, bilingual
crowd in united worship. Our music is bilingual, alternating
between Spanish songs written by Latin American artists, English songs
from the U.S., and songs weaving back and forth between the two.
Our goal is worship that resembles our city - a vibrant and
harmonious blending of two worlds. We believe that
God-glorifying
music should be loud and full of life. We are on the lookout
for
talented musicians. Join us and help us create something
exciting
and glorious!
Community Service
Our vision at The Rio is to bring life to the world around
us.
That includes spiritually as well as physically. We
have
worked with orphanages and colonias in Juarez, as well as serving other
ministries and neighbors here in El Paso. If you know anyone
who
needs help with a project, please
contact
us and let us know!
Missions
We have only been here for a few months, but we have already
partnered with seven short term missions projects with some of our
churches in other cities. El Paso is a great place to bring a
group to do evangelism and community service in a large international
city. The costs are minimal and the opportunities are great!
