Kids are important to us at The Rio and are always welcome! (We have almost as many children as we do adults!) We work hard to develop Sunday school programs that will teach our children about God and give them truth and values that will stay with them for life! Steve Nelson (one of our pastors), and his wife, Kathleen, are dedicated to their children and to helping other parents raise children well. Steve has written a book on parenting, and has a website full of helpful articles for parents of young children.
One of the programs we are most excited about is Memory Madness, a Scripture memory program for kids (and their parents!). The program includes hundreds of verses that kids memorize on a weekly schedule with competitions and prizes. It is amazing to hear two and three year olds reciting verses from the Bible!
